FTSE 100 Poised to Rise After Upbeat Asia Trading
0631 GMT – The FTSE 100 Index looks set to open about 46 points higher at 7304, according to IG futures data, after upbeat trading in Asia. Markets in Australia, mainland China, Hong Kong and Japan all rise. The Dow closed Monday 0.2% lower. Brent crude gains 1.5% to $112.61 a barrel. “The highlight for markets today will be European Central Bank President Lagarde’s speech at the Sintra Forum at 10:00 CET and focus will be on any hints about the new anti-fragmentation tool,” Danske Bank analysts say in a note.
